Sunday 13 May 2007 West Surrey Youth League U11 Premier Elite
The Dons were determined to end their season on a high and went on to record their 16th straight league victory of the campaign. Although to begin with the result could have been completely different. Barnes rattled the crossbar in the first minute and also had a goal disallowed for off side minutes later. But a trademark goal from Ebenezer Isiaakpena put the Dons ahead on 10 minutes. Just before the break, George Martin pounced on a poor goal kick, controlled it with his chest and fired home.
The Dons kept attacking in the second half and it was only a matter of time before the score increased. Jamie Hills scored his first goal of the season when he went on a marauding run down the right and finished in style. The scoring was completed when a cross/shot from George Martin was headed home low down by Callum Glavey.
This wrapped up the Dons first season at 11 aside and they should all be very proud of what they have achieved. Well done lads.
