AFC Wimbledon Ladies 1 – 0 Eastbourne Town Ladies



This match was always going to be a stern test to the Wombles, as Eastbourne Town came into this match undefeated in the League this season.

Wimbledon were keen to gain revenge for their 3-2 loss in the reverse fixture in September.

The blustery conditions proved the main factor in the result of the match.

In the 43rd minute Louise Cooper stepped up to fire a free kick from around 25yds, which sailed into the net.

Half Time 1-0

The second half saw end-to-end play as Eastbourne fought to find an equaliser and maintain their unbeaten league run.

Both defences stood firm and there was no additions to the scoreline.
